Anthropic Redefines Enterprise AI with ‘Cowork’ Plugins for Claude

San Francisco — Anthropic has escalated the enterprise AI war by introducing “Cowork,” a suite of deep integration plugins that allow Claude to actively participate in your company’s workflow rather than just answering questions.
What is Cowork?
Unlike standard API connections, Cowork plugins give Claude “agency” within your tools. It can now track Jira tickets, monitor GitHub repositories for specific commits, and summarize Slack threads in real-time without constant copying and pasting.

Key Integrations at Launch
- Jira: Automatically updates ticket status based on chat context.
- GitHub: Reviews PRs and suggests code improvements directly in the repo.
- Slack: Acts as a team member, answering queries in channels with context from other tools.
💡 How to Access Cowork Plugins
This feature is currently rolling out to Claude Enterprise customers.
Step 1: Check Your Plan
Cowork is exclusive to the Enterprise tier. Team and Pro users do not have access yet. Check your admin panel under “Settings > Billing”.
Step 2: Enable Plugins (Admin Only)
- Go to the Organization Console.
- Navigate to the “Integrations” tab.
- Toggle “Cowork Beta” to ON.
- Authenticate your Jira/GitHub instances via OAuth.
This update positions Claude as a direct competitor to Microsoft Copilot in the corporate workspace.
